Graduation – Celebrating the Academic Accomplishment

It’s graduation time! It’s the time when students leave their school life behind and move towards their future endeavors. It’s also a time to applaud their academic achievements. It is not an easy thing to leave the familiar surroundings and set out towards new horizons. It is at this time that you want to cherish your son’s or daughter’s accomplishments, as well as to offer your support as they embark upon a new journey. At Collections Etc., we understand that you want to spend quality time with your graduate and to celebrate your child’s accomplishments. You do not have to bother running from store to store buying decoration and gifts when we have all that you need to throw a successful graduation party. To get some party ideas, we asked some of our employees if they had any good tips for a fun, easy and affordable graduation party and we would love to share these tips with you.

Graduation Party:

Invitations: Throwing a party for your new graduate is an excellent way to celebrate what they have achieved so far and to welcome what lies ahead. Here are a few suggestions to get you started. Make a list of all the people you would like to invite especially those special friends that your child has spent their precious academic years with. Include the graduation year on the invites and a picture of your graduate for a special touch. Try using craft paper to create your own graduation hat shaped invites. Need help creating invites? Party Décor: Now that the invitations have been sent out, your next step is to decorate your backyard for the event. Although you are not required to have a theme for your graduation party, it is a good idea to have one for added fun. A tropical or luau theme is an excellent idea since it allows you to celebrate your graduate and welcome summer in style. String lights like the Tropical Tiki String Lights or Hibiscus Floral Paper Lantern Outdoor String Lights will add an element of fun to your graduation party, while the  Citronella Mosquito Repellent Lanterns will keep the insects away. Welcome your guests to the party with this fancy Summertime Dachshund Garden Figurine that will bring a smile to every face.

Party Food: Party time means having fun while hanging out with your friends and family. While catering is always an option, we recommend the outdoor theme and BBQ; it is a simple, easy, no-hassle way to serve food at the party. Arrange your food on these elegant Plastic Picnic Serving Platters and keep all your party snacks together with the Chip and Dip Server Plates . Get the party started with LED Color Changing Ice Bucket to keep your favorite beverages chilled, and opt for this Outdoor Wooden Barbeque Condiment Caddy to keep all the condiments and paper towels easily accessible – you will thank us later.

Gifts for the Grad:

Last but not the least; you will probably want to buy a gift for your graduate. Give them something memorable and useful like the 2015 Graduation Picture Frame or the Graduation Picture Frame Sculpture. Stick in a picture of you with your grad and, Viola! you now have a memory for life. A cute gift like the Animated Stuffed Graduation Donkey will make a great gift and provide some laughter. And to remind your graduate that the world is theirs to conquer, get the Dream Hanging Metal Wall Decor  that will always remind them to pursue their dreams.

Enjoy and celebrate this special time in your child’s life and make life long memories.

Cheers to all the grads!

  1. All of your products are lovely…unique and affordable…Frustrating that I’m unable to purchase and enjoy because I live in Ontario, Canada
